Сын мой, не забудь моих поучений, .помни всё, что я советую делать.

My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:

For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.

Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:

So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Не полагайся на свою мудрость, но почитай Господа и будь далёк от зла.

Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

Это будет лекарством для твоего тела, освежающим напитком, возвращающим силы.

It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

|
Воздавай почести Господу по своему богатству, дай Ему лучшее, что имеешь.

Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:

Тогда у тебя будет всё, что нужно,- амбары твои будут полны зерна, а вино будет переливаться через края сосудов.

So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
|
|

|
Сын мой, когда Господь указывает тебе на твои ошибки, не огорчайся наказаниям, старайся извлечь урок.

My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:
|

|
Господь исправляет тех, кого Он любит. Господь, как отец, наказывающий любимых сыновей.

|
For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
|

|
Человек, нашедший мудрость, будет счастлив, он будет блажен, когда к нему придёт понимание.

|
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
|

|
Прибыль, которую даёт мудрость, лучше серебра, прибыль эта дороже золота.

For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.

She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.

Сын мой, везде храни свою мудрость и разум, не теряй их.

My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:

Мудрость и разум дадут тебе жизнь и сделают её прекрасной.

So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.

И ты будешь жить безопасно и никогда не споткнёшься.

Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.

|
Когда ты ляжешь спать, с тобой не будет страха и сон твой будет мирным.
|

|
When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.

|
Не бойся того, что может случиться с тобой, потому что Господь и любовь Его с тобой, Он тебя сохранит и не даст оступиться. Всё плохое случится только с плохими людьми.

Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.

Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.

Если твой ближний просит тебя о чём-то, дай ему это сразу, не говори ему: „Приди завтра".

Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.

|

|
Не строй планов, которые повредят ближнему, вы живёте рядом ради общей вашей безопасности.

Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.

|

|
Не веди другого в суд без серьёзной на то причины. Не делай этого, если он не причинил тебе зла.

Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm.

Иные люди быстро впадают в гнев и творят жестокости.

Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways.

For the froward is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous.

Господь против злобных семейств, но Он благословляет дома праведников.

The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.

Если гордец насмехается над другими, Господь накажет его и посмеётся над ним. Но Господь добр к людям смиренным.

Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly.

|
Мудрые следуют Богу, Господь им воздаст почести. Глупые Богу не следуют, их покроет позор.

The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.
