Дирижёру хора. Песня раба Божьего Давида, которую написал он, когда Бог спас его от Саула и других врагов. Он сказал:

Hear the right, O LORD, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, that goeth not out of feigned lips.

Господи, люблю Тебя, дарующего силы.
|

Let my sentence come forth from thy presence; let thine eyes behold the things that are equal.

|
Господь - моя твердыня, крепость и прибежище моё! За этою скалой я укрываюсь. Господь - мой щит и сила, что меня спасает.

Thou has proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou has tried me, and shalt find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.

Презренный всеми, к Господу взываю о помощи , и Он меня от моего врага спасает .

Concerning the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer.

Вокруг меня смерть расставляет путы, стремнина разрушительная мчит туда, откуда нет возврата.

Могилы проглотить меня хотят, и западня смертельная зияет.

I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech.

Я Господа молил помочь, Он голос в Своем услышал храме, мою мольбу услышал Он.

Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them.

Земля тряслась, до основания горы дрожали - так разгневался Господь.

Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,

Дымились Его ноздри, изо рта рвалось всепожирающее пламя и огненные искры разлетались.

From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about.
|

|
И небо разорвав, Господь спустился, на грозных чёрных тучах стоя.

|
They are inclosed in their own fat: with their mouth they speak proudly.

Он херувимов оседлал и полетел, паря на крыльях ветра.

They have now compassed us in our steps: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth;

Под пологом тяжёлых, грозовых туч, Он скрывался в отдаленье.

Like as a lion that is greedy of his prey, and as it were a young lion lurking in secret places.

Его слепящее сиянье распарывало тучи, грянул град и молнии скрестились.

Arise, O LORD, disappoint him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, which is thy sword:

И громовыми, долгими раскатами Всевышнего раскатывался голос.

Он стрелы слал свои, удары молний, Он разбросал и разгромил врага.
