И взял посох свой в руку свою, и выбрал себе пять гладких камней из ручья, и положил их в пастушескую сумку, которая была с ним; и с сумкою и с пращею в руке своей выступил против Филистимлянина.

Давид взял в руку свой посох, нашёл в ручье пять гладких камней, положил их в пастушью сумку и с пращой в руке вышел навстречу филистимлянину.

І взяв він кия свого в свою руку, і вибрав собі п'ять вигладжених камінців із потоку, і поклав їх у пастушу торбу, яку мав, та в торбину, а його праща у руці його. І він пішов до филистимлянина.
