Крылья ангелов были распростёрты к небу. Они осеняли ковчег своими крыльями, а лицами были обращены друг к другу и к крышке ковчега.

І були ті херувими з простягненими догори крилами, і затінювали своїми крилами над віком, а їхні лиця одне до одного; до віка були схилені лиця тих херувимів.

And the cherubims spread out their wings on high, and covered with their wings over the mercy seat, with their faces one to another; even to the mercy seatward were the faces of the cherubims.
